This is the 100th Anniversary of the publishing of Demian. It is a story about two students who are learning about mysticism and the arcane esoteric studies that would lead them into the First World War.

Hermann Hesse wrote a lot of books, The Prodigy or Unterm Rad, Steppenwolf, Demian, Siddhartha, and Magister Ludi and the Glass Bead Game or Der Glasperlenspiel. He was one of the favorite authors of the 60s hippie era.
