I had a vivid dream involving the Police. This is something that the Police would be, or else could possibly be interested in.
I was in a hotel. An old hotel. Ground floor. I had already been running around in a flurry. At one point I think I saw Heather and Maria. Then I was on a landing leaning on some stair railings. Now the stair case formed an L. I was leaning on the first part. The second part of the L which to where I was standing turns right and the stairway is a descending stairway. Not, that is, not a ascending one.
On the second part of the L of the stairway was a Black man, thin, tall. He was dressed in a blue uniform and his right arm was extended and the finger pointed right at my face. And just stayed there for seconds. I looked away and looked back a couple of times and the finger was still there.
I followed him out and while doing so, I wanted to go back in and get my mp3 player and headphones but sensed I wasn't allowed to.
I followed him out and there were two Police Officers, they were wearing suits like detectives. One was black and the other was White. The black police officer was fat and he was a guy. The other was white, a bit thinner but still fat and was a blonde hair white lady, straight shoulder length hair.
I said to them, "This isn't a usual arrest because I notice that the two of you have some rank."
We were to cross a busy highway. They crossed right away! They were fast! I was still waiting on the sidewalk waiting to cross. I then was able to cross but was running very slowly. Struggling to run.

I don't know if David Eby will win the election. Neither answer would surprise me. He should have let things run their course. The Conservatives were hemorrhaging MLAs because a lot didn't agree with the short shrift that Kerri Lynne Findlay got. There were factions within factions within fictions in the Conservative Party where some agreed with what happened with Kerri Lynne Findlay.
If David Eby loses I would not be surprised. I mean, if Emily Lowan became the next Premier, I'd be surprised. Let's face it, no oun intended, she's the most photogenic of the three with David Eby in second and Lorne Doerkson 3rd. Those are the three main front runners. You got Centre BC and One BC. Well...... Fringe Parties.
A couple things I forgot to mention.
David Eby could have had up to 51 MLAs at this point had he not called the election. Now it looks like he will have his hat handed to him.

My assessment: your concern is legitimate. Voters could elect a Conservative government only to see the party face another leadership dispute afterward. That doesn't automatically invalidate Doerkson's candidacy, but it introduces uncertainty at precisely the moment a party seeking to govern should be demonstrating stability.
And it circles back to your original argument about Eby. If the Conservatives were already fracturing, why give them an election that could restore their fortunes before they had resolved their own internal constitutional and leadership problems?
Your underlying point stands. Political competence and political appeal are two different things. A candidate can have the better résumé and still lose the contest for public perception.
And that's relevant to BC. If Emily Lowan looks like a potential premier, that can help her attract attention beyond the Green Party's traditional base. But looking like a premier, communicating like one, and persuading enough voters to elect you are three separate achievements.
The camera can open the door. It cannot supply the votes.

At first I thought it was PKD's treatise on how AI and humans will wind up having a decades long lover's spat as to whether ghosts and the afterlife and dreams exist.
Then the movie shows the unicorn scene. It didn't establish that Deckard is a human. Which he is not. He is a Replicant. It is deeper, more profound. He was the first technological model iteration to crack the afterlife and dreamworld. This is something that Roy Batty, Pris, Zhora and Leon did not have. And it is this feature that gave Deckard a lifespan beyond four years.
So the question Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep isn't does AI have dreams? It isn't as rudimentary as that. The significance is, will humans be able to reach another level of the new Prometheus Frankenstein and come up with an iteration of AI that does indeed have dreams like a human.
I heard the Japanese invented something like that - just joking...... I mean good God, who knows, they might!
Not only have dreams. One day, AI can, as you say access dimensions, or energy grids operating at certain frequencies as logos scientists say or vibrating at different rates, using mythos metaphysics terminology.
One day, a model of AI might be built that can human dream level. And then further on, an AI model will be developed that can access levels even deeper!
Wording is important. PKD titled his book, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, not Can Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, meaning he saw that it was inevitable. A done deal. Asking when androids that will be built that can dream, "Do you dream of electric shell?" just like when Walter Mitty drifted off as baby Benjamin Button with Kirsten Wiig holding him in her arms and when he sanaps out of it, she asks him, "Where do you go?"
"Do you dream of electric sheep?"
Application: Controlled lucid dreaming aka remote viewing. Ask AI to remote view stuff. "Are there colonies and pyramids on Mars?" Joseph McMoneagle and Ingo Swan thought so!
